Jogging Buddies - Programme
Jogging
Buddies has three main activity levels to meet different people's needs:
Beginners
- walk-jog
Intermediate
- jog
Advanced
- jog-run
Each
of these has two ten week blocks. Depending on how your fitness levels improves
from one block to another, repeat blocks or adapt a block slightly with
the help and support of your jog leader. This ensures that you can take
part at your own pace.
Jog
leaders will ensure that you have someone of a similar level to jog with
in your group.
With
Jogging Buddies you are definitely not alone.
Beginners
- level one
For
complete jog beginners or people who have been fairly inactive for a
while.
Duration
target - jog continuously for 10 minutes
Fun run target - 1km
Beginners
- level two
For
people who can jog continuously for 10 minutes or 1km.
Duration
target - jog continuously for 20 minutes
Fun run target - 3km
Intermediate
level - phase one
For
people who can jog continuously for 20 minutes or 3km.
Duration
target - jog continuously for 30 minutes
Fun run target - 5km
* we
recommend you either do two Jogging Buddies jogs a week or one Jogging
Buddies, plus an additional 15 - 20 minute jog extra per week.
Intermediate
level - phase two
For
people who can jog continuously for 30 minutes or 5km.
Duration
target - jog continuously for 60 minutes
Fun run target - 10km
* we recommend you either do two Jogging Buddies jogs,
plus one 20 - 30 minute jog or if only one Jogging Buddies, then two 20 -
30 minute jogs extra per week.
Advanced
level - phase one
For
people who can jog continuously for 1 hour or 10km.
Duration
target - jog continuously for 1.5 hours
Target - 10 mile / 15km
* we recommend you either do two Jogging Buddies jogs,
plus one 30 - 40 minute jog extra or if only one Jogging Buddies, then do
one 30 minute and one 40 minute jogs extra per week.
Advanced
level - phase two
For
people who can jog continuously for 1.5 hours or 10 miles / 15km.
Duration
target - jog continuously for 2 hours
Fun run target - Half Marathon
* we recommend you either do two Jogging Buddies jogs,
plus one 30 - 40 minute jog extra or if only one Jogging Buddies, then do
one 30 minute and one 50 minute jogs extra per week.
